Villa in Las Palmas

Mexico’s Federal District, Mexico

Pending Completion

The sloping site is located on a hill in Las Palmas, in the heart of Mexico’s Federal District. There is a 10-meter difference in height from one end of the property to the other, providing fantastic views of the surrounding landscape. This particular configuration gives us the opportunity to combine an unobtrusive geometry when seen from the street, with a layering of overlapping living spaces to capitalize on the views.

The indoor swimming pool is pivotal to this house. The entry lobby and flow of the floor plan orientates the living spaces around the pool. The house is located right in the center of the garden to provide all rooms with a view and an opening to the outside greenery.

The intention of the new internal greenery is to bridge the interior spaces with the exterior garden. To achieve the same result the entry of the house lies 3 meters below street level and the garden covers the roof of the detached party room located at the lower end of the slope.
